what made me laugh today...

after some very rough time of hurrying to university and back again, jobbing and so on, i was very pleased to

winter's coming...

winter has nearly arrived... and with the colder weather coming, i prefer staying inside, reading a good book, baking some christmas cookies and decorating my room.

in fact, christmas-pretime is all about food in my opinion. just think about all these wonderful recipes with cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla... i could continue this list forever as there are so many other flavours, but i don't wanna bore you ;)

here are some pictures for you with my christmas impressions:

- star-shaped cinnamon cookies -

recipe: star-shaped cinnamon cookies

ingredients:
50g of finely ground hazelnuts
2 egg whites of middle-sized eggs
a bit salt
125g of sugar
1 package of vanilla sugar
1/2 tbs of lemon juice
1 tbs cinnamon
175g of finely ground almonds

whisk the egg whites with a bit of salt and the lemon juice until it is stiff and then add the sugar slowly and whip until everything is soft and creamy again.
put 3 tbs of the cream away for later decorations.
now, add the vanilla sugar, cinnamon and nuts and put everything into the fridge for about 2 hours.
roll out the cookies dough until it is about 3/4 cm thin and cut out little stars.
then, mix the 3 tbs of left cream with a bit of water and decorate the cookies with it.
put them onto a baking tray and let them bake for about 15-18 min with a temperature of 150°C.
set them onto a plate to cool down and enjoy them :)

blue valentine or how damn sexy is ryan gosling??

this tuesday was our girls-night-out-for-cinema-night and i was so happy to see 'blue valentine' played in our theatres. i have to say: i love, love, love ryan gosling and so it was the perfect movie for me although the future-ryan isn't as sexy as the current ryan ;) i hope he will make a better developement concerning his outward appearance.

the movie was really fantastic. the content was high-level-emotion. the actors were phenomenal. the soundtrack was really great and easy-listening-stuff and i'm once again in love with indie-movies ;) but just watch the trailer and tell me what you think. do you like the movie? have you already seen it?

party time

i am kinda in party-mood. can't wait for the weekend to begin!! and i've already made some really good plans: tomorrow i will go to a little club in my hometown. okay, you can't really name it a club, it is more a mixture of a little bar and a club. but, the good thing about such a small place is that you somehow know every single person in it. maybe it is not that exciting for people who love to meet new people, but for me it is a good chance to meet up with nearly forgotten friends you barely see on weekdays.

that's it about friday night. on saturday i plan exactly the same but with one exception: i'll go to another really small, wrecked place in my hometown, but it's really similar to the friday's club.

these pictures are some memories of parties or cocktail-nights with my friends. the quality is kinda mess because i hate using the flashlight but i somehow like the way it looks as if you were totally drunk.

maybe i am nearly the only one who first thought that she had been bad for the twilight cast, but now i start to really like her after all. bella is now a beautiful swan - poor rob, i think she could steal the show from you in the upcoming breaking dawn movie ;)

it was just a few weeks ago, when our beloved kate moss married her longtime boyfriend jamie hince. in the current vogue issue there is now a big, big part about their wonderful wedding. all photos are made by mario testino himself. here you can see my favorite photos of this little special wedding edition. and i'm pretty sure that after seeing these photos, you will understand why this is one of my favorite weddings so far. in fact, kate's wedding is like an inspiration for my own wedding that will hopefully come some day.

new york i love you

little snap shot from my brithday party two weeks ago - strawberry magaritas and cosmos

hey there, it is now one week ago that i postet something for you. but today i am a bit stressed, so it is just a small post for you. this picture was taken at a cocktail bar called mississippi. i was there with my friends celebrating my birthday as you already know. these are my two favorite cocktails: a cosmopolitan and a strawberry magarita. sooo delicious!! can't wait to spend another night out there.

july is now nearly over, but the sun is nowhere to be found. instead of having a wonderful summer, it is raining outside. how depressing! on some days i am really sorry for my decision to stay at home this summer, working and gaining enough money for a great trip to new york in november. yes, i have plans ;) i wanna go to ny with a couple of friends, but just for about three days or so. three days full of shopping, sightseeing and enjoying the american way of living.

have you ever been to ny? or the us at all?

and have you any hotspots for me to visit? i am searching for a great but affordable hotel, nice restaurants, nightclubs, vintage stores, little cafés and so much more. so please write down your favorite spots. thank you!!

birthday time

last sunday was my 20th birthday. on saturday i went out with some of my best friends sipping cocktails in a fancy cocktail bar to celebrate my birthday at noon. and the next day was full of decorating the house and preparing the cakes for a nice afternoon with tea, coffee, cake and of course my family. it a was such a lovely day with all my beloved people and i got some really nice presents such as lots of beauty stuff or something to read. on the second picture, you can see one of my cakes. it is a very delicious combination of raspberries and blueberries and i totally fell in love with it. the other cake was with a light raspberry cream in the middle of it and because i really really love raspberries, it was also very delicious (:

the last picture shows one of my cats, in this case lilly our little lazy one that loves to sleep and eat all day. she totally ignored the bow around her neck because it would have been too exhausting to care about it ;)

maybe i will show you some other picture about my cocktail night and some of my presents later that day or even during the following days.

the new era

the good weather is gone. damn. so i have to get my beloved summer back by decorating everything with dozens of flowers and reading magazine articles about the stars' favorite holiday spots or trendy swimwear. the first picture shows such a magazine, in this case it is the german 'glamour' one of my faves. but you can also see my new clutch and platform heels by mango and zara that i have worn for prom. it was a very nice day with lots of partying and fun. i will never forget it but now it is time to move on.

school's in the past, university in front and so i can call myself a student since tuesday because that's when i went to a university to apply for a study course named 'environment&energy'. let the new era begin. can't wait to start it!

have you ever wondered why summer makes us that happy? maybe it is just because of the hot temperatures and long holidays but i think that there is more. just remember the wonderful colors of the flowers everywhere around you. the scent of summer rains and meadows full of poppies or roses. the short moments in the early morning when everthing is dark and quiet, but then the birds begin to sing their beautiful songs. the feeling of gras under your bare feet while picknicking in the sun. all these moments are unique and invaluable. so collect all of these short glimpses of happiness. they are worth it!

hallo ihr lieben. momentan versuche ich ohne erneutes strähnchen färben etwas heller zu werden. dazu probier ich jetzt mal die 'sheer blonde - go blonder'-reihe von john frieda aus. conditioner und shampoo sollen die schon blonden haare stufenweise noch mehr aufhellen. da sind wir mal gespannt, ob das wirklich klappt. hat jemand schon positive erfahrungen mit der produktreihe gemacht? oder gar negative? ich auf jeden fall werde über meine erfolge berichten!

i try to get blonder hair without going to my hairstudio for new highlights. so, i'll try the 'sheer blonde - go blonder'-products from john frieda. the conditioner paired with the shampoo should make your blonde hair even blonder. i am very excited so see if that really works. has anybody already made some positive experience with these products? or even some negative? i'll of course blog about the results!

hallo ihr lieben. hier hab ich ein paar bilder von der glamour website mit hochsteckfrisuren, die ich recht schön finde. ich werde sie demnächst mal ausprobieren, um zu schauen, ob sie zu meinem rückenfreien kleid passen und ob ich sie alleine überhaupt so hinbekomme. das wochenende war ein einziger haufen an kurzen augenblicken mit meinen besten freunden und schönen parties. ich hoffe, das nächste wird genauso gut (: und wie ihr folgend seht, werde ich ab sofort auch immer wieder auf englisch posten, damit auch jeder meinen blog lesen kann.

hallo meine lieben. jetzt ist es vorbei. heute war meine letzte prüfung in der schule und jetzt gehts los mit bewerben und sommerbeschäftigung suchen. ich wollte ja gerne nach london oder barcelona dieses jahr und dafür muss erstmal schön was angespart werden ;) morgen werd ich euch meinen ersten outfit post zeigen mit eine kleid, dass ich am samstag erstanden habe. also seid gespannt!
